I am an office coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and want to break into the field of research. MSK has research coordinator roles, however when I initially applied after graduating, I didn’t get any interviews. I have minimal experience with research from undergrad. I’m not sure if it is possible to switch roles within MSK. I also want to go back to school for an MPH. Anyone have any experience with this or any tips?

Is it better to be a Business Data Analyst employee or to be contracted by a consulting company? I’m currently working on a long project (will be another year or so) in a big bank but via/employed by a consulting firm and trying to decide whether to just apply directly to the bank instead or even to another bank/company

Hi everyone. I really want my confusion to get cleared. I am actually in dire need for a job. I have even managed to bag one. But unfortunately, it is not in the domain that really interests me.

Feeling very lost abt my career. I have been working for almost 5 years, but some people who are younger than me by 1-2 years have higher position than me. I wasn't promoted last yr but I've reached a point where I'm fine with my salary. It feels bad when these younger people are giving me instructions to work. I felt that sometimes they are bossing around, and maybe it's because I'm too slow. I don't know if I'm a good fit for consulting. I like the job, but I feel it's too fast paced. Advice?

I'm a senior software engineer with 10 years of experience. I've been with my current company for 5 years. I started at 100k and now I'm only at 116k, which means they haven't even kept me up with inflation.

I'm happy and don't *want* to leave to have to get my worth. I want to ask for 150k (I've been seeing recruiters emails for 160-200), but I feel like that's going to sound outrageous to them.

I am looking to get a new car just because I was given my current car and it is not something I would have picked myself. I used to have a Honda element and I loved that everything was plastic and it was a simple car. I also loved the boxy design of it.
