Anyone here transition from ProdOps to PM? Currently at a late stage startup looking to make a transition and would love to hear other people’s stories/tips!

While we are all happy taking multiple offers and joining the company that gives highest pay. Quality of work type of project product vs project etc. have taken back seat. Even the recruiters don't give a complete picture. A guy who might be doing development in Java may landup in a project that has only devops requirements. When asked about this they say go through udemy courses. Please be aware as these practices are very prevalant and might hurt your future prospects.

Any thoughts / experience on Citi Commercial Bank - particularly from the Corp finance / lending side ? Curious about scope of work, level and detail of modelling and how possible it it to move from the commercial bank to the corporate bank or investment bank

Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t be necessarily grow my network, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. Should I stay in my role a bit longer to gain experience or I am not able to find remote or hybrid matching my profile. Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. Even if I cracked the interview on basis of self learning, will be sufficient to work effectively in real projects ?

Is it fraud or somehow bad to just start and quit a 2nd job every 1-2 months once you actually start to have to do real work? The first few weeks of most jobs tend to be pretty low stress and an easy paycheck or 2. And if you only do this at employers you wouldn't return to, is there a downside?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

The Variable Pay Bonus (VPN) is usually credited in August Month's salary (31st August). My question is , if I am on notice during that time , will I get my bonus?
