Make a checklist of things to review before you sign off. I’m sure your senior and manager will help you make the list as it will make their job easier .

like

Don’t sign off on a work paper right away - move on to a different task then come back a few hours later and review again before officially signing off, you’ll catch little things. A lot of times we’ve been looking at something for so long so we don’t notice mistakes

Look at it a different day or after a break.

Check for spelling, inconsistencies within wp, things that need to be updated from prior year, does it make sense/tell the story of what you did, can someone reperform

Is there an “unspoken rule” that if you apply to other firms and are rejected it hurts your chances if you reapply to them in the future? I’ve been at a firm for a few months but the environment is toxic and I’m looking at other options.

I hate posting this, but I’m close to the point of desperation. After 2 decades of serving the community, our lil’ Imaging center closed it’s doors without notice, leaving me Unemployed. I’ve applied to a host of Medical (and non-medical) jobs for months and nothing but denials and my Unemployment is about to end within a month.
If you’re aware of any organization /open role of any kind needing a great employee, I’m interested, even if Non-Sonography related. Thanks bowlers!

Not a student… yet, but hope you can help. I’m in healthcare administration (executive assistant) and want a career change, moving into nursing. It looks like LVN is the fastest path (12-month program at my local community college), then continue education for a BSN while working as an LVN. I’m a single parent of a young child so I’m trying to minimize the time I won’t be able to work full time due to school and also ensure I’ll have a livable wage upon completion. Thank you in advance!

Im looking for referrals and/or companies you know to be hiring. Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi folks, I had a quick question around remote work. My office is in San Francisco but I worked remotely from NJ for clients on the WC. How should I answer the question, “did you earn income working remotely by providing the services in a different state than the state you originally engaged employment with it”? If it matters, I never set foot in CA.

Moms, I’m meeting with my Talent Group Lead for the first time today (PMD over my practice area) to chat about coming back early from mat leave and shifting my remaining days of leave to later in the year (e.g. Thanksgiving week). I want to make a good impression and am not sure what other questions to ask them. Any advice? Doesn’t have to be mat leave-related.

What do you do with a senior manager who seemed lost all the time? Granted he is new in the engagement - we both are. We talked through things a couple of times but he does not seem to understand it and keeps on asking about the same things. Does not know what is happening on the file or does not seem to care to learn about it. Would only know about things that come through his emails, and would only care where things are at when we are reporting to the partner.

Can someone explain me how much scatterplot weigh and what are the things you should be careful of if you’re in lower side?. Not working with that team anymore. New to the firm and had rough start.

I have a colleague who is unvaccinated and tested positive for COVID (he text me to let me know). He lied to the firm about his vaccination status since late last year and he went to the office on Tuesday before he found out on Wednesday that he was tested positive. We were all in the conference room together so, I’m exposed to it as well. He refused to notify the firm about his COVID status and putting all those whom he had come in contact at risk. What should I do?

Hi. A bit new to audit and have a question on a report's opinion.
I came across a somewhat old auditor report (from a very small auditing firm) that listed several instances where employees misappropriated assets within its schedule of findings, yet the opinion was unmodified. Is this fine? I would think it'd affect the opinion not knowing everything that was misappropriated. Could it be that the auditor felt comfortable enough on how much they identified and that lowered the risk?

Comminuted with the Rm that I don’t have the car and she suggested that I reach out to the audit engagement team to see if I can Uber.
