I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. What is the environment like and has anyone been in a situation where the contract with TCS and the client ended and had trouble with TCS finding them a new role at the same pay?

Every PM job posting I see in big tech/FAANG requires a MINIMUM of 5+ years experience, and a large portion even require 7+ years. Most of the associate/rotational PM roles require 3+ years and some require 5+. Cognizant put my candidature on hold after both rounds of interviews and HR ended up telling me that it’s coz of my current CTC. They will interview more candidates and accordingly get back to me . As of now, my candidature is “on hold”.

I was told that they’d have to give me a higher designation to justify my kind of salary. Right now my YOE fall in Manager band. How true is this?

The interviewer asked me my current CTC only and no discussions on expectations have happened till now.
