Interviewing with 2 companies for creative positions and may be getting offers next week. Thankful for your insights as I weigh these options.
A: Hospital | $125k
Team is frighteningly lean. Totally swamped. Plans to scale up, but will it be enough?
B: SaaS Startup | $100k + $15k bonus. Equity with an IPO looming.
Team is much more robust. Lots of ex-agency folks.
I'm 41. Wife and baby. Money is important, but I would accept a little less money for WLB, career trajectory, and/or stability.
Cover letter shouldn’t be more than a page unless you’re applying to a phD. Focus on how you have transferable skills from consulting to PM
I’d say no cover letter required. 25+ years interviewing at all levels, salary > 225k. Never written one. I have a professional resume and I answer the interview questions correctly. You should be such an obvious fit for the role that there’s no need to explain. I think you’d do more damage than good by trying to translate your experience to the role.
