I’m lacking mentorships and fear getting too comfortable and for the learning curve to stagnate. The recruiter is telling me 400-500k total comp, but the position would be a steps down in terms of title/autonomy, and far less front facing. Any advice?

Currently in a niche area of indirect tax at EY and looking to get a broader accounting experience. I’ve been interviewing in industry but most places aren’t fond of taking me due to the niche experience. I have a small 10 person office that seems very interested and does interesting work. I’m scared of jumping to something so small. Similar pay and benefits as EY, and nearby (EY is far). What would y’all do? I can’t decide.
