How to prepare for PE/growth equity ops / diligence interviews?

I have my first CSR interview Wednesday! Any CSRs that could give me a little insight on what I would be doing and how your interview was?

Is there a cooling period with Amazon for applying after you got through power days. The feedback I got was that they went with a candidate that is a better fit for the position which doesn’t sound negative on my part.

Feeling like LinkedIn Jobs and Indeed are huge time toilets where no one ever gets ad jobs. But you do get a the rare soul killing rejection letter about how your skills aren’t a match.

After my third interview, the HR manager said they will be in touch with me for the last round of interviews with VP. They were waiting for her to come back from a vacation. They never reached and it has been 2 weeks! I would like to send a follow-up email. What do you think and what should I say?

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?

As my last agency was falling apart, I started looking for a new job, and per usual, it took a while to find the right fit. I hit the last interview for a job that sounded collaborative, accepted my skills, moved me to “Senior”. But they asked for my salary range and told me they had an interview w/someone else. I wanted the job so much that I think I lowballed at $75k. They immediately accepted. Am I underpaid because I was excited?? (Altho the job is awesome so far.)

Thread: I’ve been talking to this company for months and the recruiter has been in and out with communication. A few weeks ago, he reached out, apologized for the delay and explained they needed to figure out role priorities but that they’re moving forward, I’m a top candidate, & they wanted to wrap up interviews and extend an offer the following week. He never reached out to set up interviews and hasn’t replied to any of my calls or emails.

I worked FT as a paralegal and went to law school in the evening. I recently interviewed at a small ID firm in employment law with about 9 attorneys. They asked for a writing sample. I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard

A new analyst has joined our team and we often give them models/ slides but don’t always ask them if they know all of the accounting principles to be able to make minute adjustments to EBITDA or free cash flow. We are a FIG platform, so the knowledge required is relatively unique as well and not as easy to google as corporate transactions. Is there a better way to coach the analyst short of just throwing them in the deep end to figure it out or should we wait for them to ask us for help?

If I want to start a family office, what kind of experience would be helpful? Looking at whether I should get a 1-2 years of experience in HF, PE or VC. I have 4 years of consulting experience, did a mix of CDD, ODD, strategy and PMO work. Family is worth about 300 mil and is looking to put about 50 mil into the fund to start. We are in Southeast Asia if that matters. I have little knowledge of investing, so L any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Completed a process for a position about 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard back. They indicated it would be a lengthy turnaround given they are setting up a new fund and building the team top down. Would it be rude to ask for a timing/process update? Driver of me wanting to push is I have moved far along in another process and don’t think I’ll have much time to decide. -industrials (cement, plastics etc) - as esg kicks in money will get pulled out but prospects will grow as the big infra boom kicks off

What are exit opps like after 4 YOE (two years MBB, two years MM PE fund associate)?

3 YOE. No MBA. Have done corporate strategy, and M&A execution work including synergy calculation and tracking. No diligence ever. Should I bother with PE recruiting? headhunters reach out but don’t want to waste my time
