Make a slide about your accomplishments in the last 6 months

Make a list of all of your accomplishments and goals for the rest of the year

Match your accomplishment to your annual feedback you received and targets that were set. If you have achieved more than half or at least the half, you can prove that you met expectations.

Please advise: Sent an email to a partner explaining that I want to take a step back in an initiative because project has been long hours, and I wanted to focus my energy on something else I’m more interested in, and offered to help the next person to transition. Got a reply saying I’d advise to say no up front rather than making commitments I cannot keep. I’m so upset that I cried. WLB has been hard and it was not easy making this decision. What do I reply? Don’t want to leave on bad terms.

Anytime I ask a junior person on my team to do something or give her a recommendation, the reply is always something along the lines of “yeah, I know” “yeah, that was the plan anyway”, or “I was already thinking that”. How do I coach this individual to avoid these type of replies? It just comes off as passive aggressive.

Why don't more (white collar) Americans take breaks in-between jobs? Like a month or two summer break. Is this mindset that you need to work all the time a vestige from back when people would work at the same company for 40 years until they die?

We got a staff a few weeks ago and he is really dumb with Excel and any other software (I’m sorry to say that but he really is). He’s fresh out of college less than half a year ago. I worked with several new staff before but I’ve never had someone like this. Am I being too harsh if I request to roll him off soon?
