Start your own think tank.

Kiss some Washington a$$

If you’re open to a longer-term strategy, I’d highly recommend spending a year or two on Capitol Hill developing your network and policy chops. It’s going to be difficult to find a job unless you have a stellar academic and/or professional background and the correct partisan credentials.

Currently in BizOps, and wondering what uncommon next steps would look like from here? It sounds like people tend to stay in BizOps and rise up from there / lead a BU at some point, pivot to Product / another function, move to another company's BizOps team. What else have you seen others done?

I received maybe 2 hours of formal training and the rest has been learn by fire, even with claims in litigation. It’s a nightmare. I can’t get 5 minutes of my managers time a day. Would you leave?

I have been really contemplating leaving my company for quite sometime now. Here’s why: 1) recently went and got my MBA completed summer 21 2) I’m nowhere near the salary range I should be in 3) the role I’m currently in is a job that should be two levels(pay grades) higher than what it is 4) my boss is a very nit picky person and we do not collaborate very well at all. What is stopping me from leaving is that I have established rapport within the company, access to senior leaders, and flights

I am planning on asking for a raise in my base salary and I am unsure what the market price would be for my skills at a staffing agency. I am in the top producer at my company with over 50 producers. I generate an average of $120k in GM per quarter. I am approaching my first year end review and I am currently at a base salary of $70,000 and I have 3 years of prior experience in the industry. What should I be asking for in this situation?

Is it reasonable to be expected to spend 20-30 non-billable hours a month checking your paralegal’s work? (i.e. summarizing hundreds of records and bills). The partner said he “didn’t use paralegals” at his previous firm and eating the time is an “investment in yourself.” Is this common?
