After all those client dinners

Any ideas on the pay range for the US Regional Meetings Lead Amgen? I’ve been agency based for quite a long time. I have worked with Amgen previously, currently serving another pharma, but looking to make the leap to the client side. Trying to see if the pay would be worth it at this juncture.
I just got my client's org structure!

Start with an official resignation letter to provide. When you do have the talk with her you will have the letter ready to turn in. I started with my letter, handed it in during a discussion with my boss who informed me I didn’t get the promotion I was hoping for. She gave it to someone else on my team. I turned in my notice and she came back a little while later offering me $3k more to stay. Laughed at that and turned it down (next job was a 50% bump in salary). To which she then declined my notice bc I intended to put in a 3 week notice with my 4th week using pto. She said ppl who turn in notices can’t take pto. Lie. Whatever. I edited my notice to 2 weeks as a F U. And got paid all the pto time I was owed since she wouldn’t let me use my pto. Don’t be scared to turn in your notice. Be excited! Your boss should be happy for you. If not then you know you are doing the right thing by leaving.

I would definitely have a conversation with her when you’re ready to give your notice. Based on what you wrote, she’ll be in shock, so be ready for questions and hurt/angry words. Thank her for her mentoring and reassure her that it’s not personal- you were ready to move on. If she asks why you didn’t say anything until now, say you’ve never moved companies before so you didn’t know how to navigate these things. I had a VERY bad departure from my last job, my manager took things very personally, partially because we became good friends (another line I’ll never cross again). It took her over a year to forgive me and it was awkward because my new job was in an adjacent industry and we would occasionally cross paths.
It’s very bad form as a mentor to be anything but supportive when your mentee is ready to fly. It’s not personal and it’s their life!
