The only stereotype I hear is BCG is the nerdy firm. People here are pretty reliably sharp on data, maths and analytics, but they’re likewise rock climbing and sky diving party animals...sooo stereotypes have limitations?
B6 you think the gap is Harvard to yale wide????? lol
The only stereotypes I’ve ever heard about us is that we're a quant-heavy, FS-only firm (not true - yes lots of quant work but plenty is very qualitative and I’ve never even done an FS case) and that we’re also very nerdy (very true - once walked into our kitchen to find a bunch of aviation folks competing to see who could identify the plane model the fastest by the sound of an engine)
Not sarcastic in the least. That sounds awesome
Deloitte is the best like everything thinks we are

Damn right
Doesn’t pay well. Checks out.
Jumping shit so 😂
By the way, how upskilled are you in terms of digital?
#PwCIsAGo 😂😂
@BCG1, you can be a hardcore nerd and still like those things, they're not mutually exclusive. :P
Duh. But we are talking stereotypes in this thread, not reality or nuance.
I think consulting generally attracts similar types of folks. I see more variation across groups (e.g. Deals vs. Cybersecurity folks)
It’s true: we are Gryffindor.
I think that ours are spot on for some people, but definitely not for most. I’ve also found Mckinsey to be a lot less cultish than it’s perceived to be (most people don’t live breathe and die by the “Firm,” don’t define themselves by being employed here, and absolutely don’t look down on others, especially other consultants, for working somewhere else). Although I’d argue the stereotypes become more apparent as you move up the hierarchy
Yea you heard right. We’re the cutest
Meaning you cut the most?
Everyone hates our name, legacy people hate that we aren’t under PwC, some of our new hires...woof
What if you don't know the stereotype? What's the stereotype for EY? (I'm new to consulting)
I've been working at Deloitte a long time and I've never met anyone that's worked at EY. Maybe that's a good thing.
We are nice and have a good work environment.
Yea was at EY and what EY5 said. A lot of EY “nice” to your face but can’t have an honest
conversation. At least you know where you stand at other at places.
Uncle d takes care of his nieces and nephews, but we are all made to feel like step children.
I think the stereotypes about us are pretty true.
A2, never truer words
We golf a lot. At least my team does for team events
100% true
We are all (or at least most of us are) alcoholic nerds. That's a true stereotype.
Checks out
Nega che chala ga

Oh Christ ... you do know “Business Chemistry” is just as made up as the Myers-Briggs BS, right?
Idek what the stereotypes are for us...
