Do you already have the job? Why do you ask?

likefunny

Not typical at all. Software is a fad, a dying industry I tell ya. 😂

I don’t get this question

like

@SC1 yes and 10% raise

So you’re asking how typical it is but you already handed in your notice and have a new job lined up?

The rarity depends on your role. If you are a strategy consultant now working as a dev, yeah, that's rare

I live in Sydney, Australia and am looking to move over to NYC in the coming months and get a job as a Strategist (I have ~4 years experience, my Fishbowl profile is out of date). At the moment, are people are getting hired remotely/over Zoom calls etc? And to be clear, I don't mean working remotely, just the hiring process. Normally I'm told its pretty much impossible to get hired if not in NY (And still in Aus.), but I'm thinking now could be my chance. I would need to be sponsored though.

Engaging in dumb hypotheticals but I'm curious: At 1 YOE post-MBA, would you pick Amazon or MBB if the estimated TC is the same, and you've been working in consulting since your MBA? Obviously this depends on the role, but for the sake of a broader audience, we'll assume the role simply isn't a backwater contracting/etc. role at Amazon and that for MBB it's core consulting. Like an option below & comment your thoughts.

Somehow I just survived, yet this feeling still remains to this day. It's clear I am not fit to work here. TBH, I think I got it by luck. I'm frustrated trying to change jobs yet I feel like I'm not good.
