How useful is Google Analytics for public sector consultants? I'm currently looking to net some certifications and Google Analytics is something that I believe is imperative to have as an analytics professional especially if one decides to exit the industry to move onto platform/product based companies. However, I don't see myself making that jump anytime soon, so here I am wondering if I should even bother spending time on this since my day to day consists mostly of SAS and SQL.

It's not hard to pick up. If you want to work it into your resume, you'll need to connect with some team that does web stuff to actually deploy it on a site you want to analyze. That said, if you spend most of your time on ETL and stats, I'd say you're better off getting into ML and picking up deep learning frameworks: they'll make for a clearer career path and you could use them with your existing data.

I went T2>MBB and am thinking of going back to T2 because I prefer to aim for partner (MBB is not sustainable for me) rather than taking industry exit... Is this a dumb move? I’ll be dropping pay slightly but with better working hours one step below partner vs industry at ‘head of’ level...

Converted my summer at a low/mid BB in the ECM team, however now been offered an analyst role at a MM PE firm (~$1bn AUM). Although my team at the BB is far from prestigious I’m just looking to hear some other opinions before I accept the PE offer, one thing catching me off guard is that most of the IP come from non-MBB consulting backgrounds so I’m wondering if this is really a good exit. I’d be taking about a 10% pay cut compared to IB but progression to roles with carry is open.

Ladies have you ever fallen for a guy over text? This guy is so hot and cold with me and we’ve never met - but have such a great time texting. It’s so confusing. He lives 4.5 hours away from me and works 6 days a week (sometimes 7). We were supposed to meet some time back and then his mom got sick and then I got covid and then he got this job... and we never met again. What do I do ? He rarely ever initiates conversations these days, but when I do message him he’s on a roll.
