My (now) wife and I went to the beach, we had casual conversations about our future, what we wanted, where we wanted to live, and work and then at a natural moment in those conversations, I talked towards why I wanted to marry her, got on one knee, took out the ring and asked the question. She never suspected anything, we had relative privacy because the beach is huge and there were very few people and there was no artificial moment when it had to happen, it just followed naturally which I really liked.
We dated for years and talked on and off about it. Eventually we agreed we were both ready to do the whole marriage thing. We did a weekend trip, i assumed he would propose at dinner. Instead he worked with an escape room so we had a private experience and when we got to the end the ring was sitting in the final box with the "you won" button. I turned around surprised and he was down on one knee. Absolutely perfect in every way
Not for everyone i realize but we both love puzzles/games.

Don’t know, still waiting but will pin this and respond when I meet the love of my life and he proposes 😍
Lol I tricked mine. Valentine’s Day in Hawaii, she’s suspected she was getting engaged. So I brought a non engagement ring with me and in the morning whipped it out and said it was something special I wanted to give her. The look on her face when she saw it wasn’t an engagement ring was priceless. Needless to say the rest of the day she was a bit short with me, especially at dinner with lots of couples getting engaged. Finally popped the question with the real ring close to midnight on the beach. Wonder if this is why she ended up as my ex years later 😂

Are you sure you tricked yours? Sounds like the other way round 🤔
The area she grew up (Phoenix, birth to HS) was very special to her and I had never been. I surprised her with a trip there over a Valentine’s Day weekend where we explored all her old favorite places and stayed in a resort she’d always dreamed at from afar. One spot we came to seemed special and was making her particularly happy (Desert Botanical Gardens). So I found a quiet private garden corner and told her I had wanted to see the places that shaped the wonderful person she is today and that I wanted to be part of her whole life, forever. Then asked her if she would marry me.
Yes - I had the ring with me. And I’d already spoken with her father. (he knew it was just ceremony, but appreciated it)

My wife had a feeling it was going to happen one particular weekend (she wasn’t wrong), but I made her wait until Sunday to try to surprise her. We’re in Florida and close to Disney. I booked tea at one of the resorts and then we went for a stroll along the resort grounds/by the lakes… that’s where it happened 💍
I told my now wife we should get married on WhatsApp. She said yes and we married a month later. Been together for years now
