Are there issues with your performance? Have partners stopped giving you work? Bad reviews? You suddenly won’t be on the chopping block just because Democrats control the government.

... you know biglaw was around before Trump, right? It managed to survive the Obama administration, Clinton administration and many democratic administrations before that. We’ll be just fine. New laws/regulations means new work for lawyers to do in response. You might even see a brief uptick in deals as business folks freak out about getting deals done before x law changes, interest rates go up etc etc.
Historically the economy grows more under democratic governance. What is this question even?
Overwhelming answer is no real changes to the business. What about my personal take home pay?
You probably won't have any changes from the Biden Admin. The Trump tax bill had built in hikes that I believe start in 2022 and increase through 2027 so be prepared for that. Unless the Democrats fix it.
A scholar once told me—aside from extremist political views nowadays (MAGA, ANTIFA)—that attorneys tended to align themselves with the Democratic Party because it is the party of big government. Big government means more regulations and more regulations lead to more billable hours and attorney work.
This could ring true for certain practices.
Any thoughts?
No.
