Hello Fishes, How to find a Development project in TCS ? Soon I will be released from my current project. I have 3.8 YOE and want to change my Tech Stack. Thanks.
Are there any attorney roles that are collaborative? I’m a transactional associate and there are aspects of my job that I really enjoy, but I can’t stand how solitary it is. (I don’t consider client conference calls collaborative haha) Long-term, I need to be in a role that requires more team work/collaboration/social interaction...but the longer I work as an attorney the more I feel like I’ll need to leave legal practice to get that. I’m wondering if there’s a legal option I haven’t considered
What is a Deloitte M equivalent at BCG? A recruiter reached out to me about a project leader or principal role. Wondering how it all lines up w/ comp. thanks in advance all
Something’s been weighing on my mind. I messed up in a steering committee & tripped infront of the Sr. Client Stakeholders. I made a few other mistakes and was rolled off by my manager (SM) b/c I sucked and it was a higher burn engagement he needed a stronger BA. Now I find out he might’ve been laid off and I can’t help but to think it was my fault. We never really talked after this engagement but I feel like it’s my clumsiness that him fired and it makes me feel guilty and give a me anxiety.
Boutique consulting firm vs Big 4, thinking of making the switch to get more structured support and learning... any thoughts? Attrition is rlly high at my firm and project deadlines have been delayed due to resource issues
Just started working with a new client, and they’ve spelled my name wrong in two successive emails. How should I handle?
Client meeting on Friday afternoon 😞
Show of hands; who has been laid off because your agency lost a big client? Also, when you interviewed for your next job did you feel comfortable saying that? And do other agencies understand?
Last week joined in hcl. I got better opportunity in other company. If I abscand in hcl.does it any problem?still I have not assigned to any project , iam in Bench now?
I’m 11 wks pregnant and started this new project right as I got pregnant- it’s been such a tough project and I’m not able to keep up. I’m not sure what to do - I’ve totally fallen behind and am not sure how I’m going to be able to proceed. I need something slower paced. Do I tell them I’m pregnant or do I just keep trying to do my best. 😞
Anyone know what the daily of a project manager risk and compliance for devices encompasses? Was thinking about applying / wondering what that interview process looks like?
How do I get my old project to leave me alone? I rolled off, but they keep calling me in for little things. My new project leads are okay with it for now, but I want it to end. What to do?
Any biotech project / program managers in here? Considering exiting to a late-stage clinical as a project manager, but not sure if it’ll actually improve WLB or if I’ll still just be herding cats all day.
QUESTION -When you have a great passion project / bottom drawer idea that you keep bringing out and trying to bring back to life - ie you’ve had it in a couple of agencies - who owns it? It wasn’t for a brief, and it was worked on above and beyond the general hours of work. And it’s never been bought.
I am going to India for H1b visa stamping. I have been on bench since October but I have been involved with firm initiatives and RFP work. If I am asked about client letter or LCA how should I answer?
I rolled off a project 3 months ago. They keep reaching out and asking me to help onboard new teammates to give them historical knowledge (it’s a long-term project). Do I have to keep doing this? Or does it get to a point where I can say I don’t have the time and there must be someone more recent who can help?
What kind of hours are you putting in on your current project? What's the industry? (E.g. Tech, in at 7:30AM, leave at 7PM, back online at 10PM)
I have 10+ years of experience Agency side, but looking to move Client side with remote work. I've applied for a number of roles either directly on Client sites or via LinkedIn, but haven't even received anything other than a straight rejection at the first stage. Wondering if anyone has experienced similar and overcome it/any tips. My resume has a number of large Agencies and global clients on it, with (IMO at least) some nice success stories, but wondering if I'm missing something obvious.
Standing desk recommendations under $350?
Our nanny is taking few days off and we are planning to send our 11 month old daughter to Bright Horizon backup care. Due to COVID we haven’t take her out much and getting really nervous of sending her to daycare. What precautions to consider when we send her ? Any recommendations for routine to follow for few days ? Really appreciate any help
Been thinking bout this for the past 15 years, but life rhymes with wife, right? so if life insurance exxxists, why doesn't wife insurance?? 🤔

Interested in trust and safety! Anyone know resources and how to get into these roles at FAANG + companies?
All 5 interviewed pediatricians say they will be sending their kids back to school without hesitation. What do you all take from this? Does it change your mind on sending your kids back? https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/5-pediatricians-on-the-safety-of-schools-amid-pandemic-87569477784
Am I an attractive candidate at all? Or is it silly to think I could jump soon for a comp increase? 1 yoe BAH fed (7 yoe in nonprofit sector before that), currently at 90k. Have some generalist certifications (agile, prosci, working on instructional design). Non-technical, no master’s. Resume is mostly attractive bc of extensive international/cross-cultural experience & DoS experience. Am I still too “meh” with only 1yoe & no tech skills?
Hi all. My organization has formed a wellness committee and we’re looking to implement a Virtual Wellness Retreat. It is a voluntary event that will span a day or 2 that is full of guest speakers, activities, and information sessions around benefits. I was thinking of incorporating maybe a yoga session or two, collaborative virtual games, etc that will help employees take their mind off of work. I am working on this with 2 others within the organization. Does anyone have suggestions or guidance?
I'm a benefits director at a large company, and we're adding a fertility benefit starting Jan 1. It looks a lot like Deloitte's program (just noticing Deloitte a lot in this bowl), though ours will be slightly more generous with lifetime maxes. I'd love your feedback about what your employers do especially well or poorly, just to ensure we don't have huge blindspots as we roll it out from scratch. Honest feedback from people who are on this journey is appreciated!!
Leaving EY, what all docs should I collect from immigration team apart from the approved petitions? I only have the latest I 140 approval notice, and not the previous one (my role had changed)
Interview questions for senior leadership? I’m in the final round of interviewing for a consulting role and I’m meeting with 4 senior principals and the MD of the firm. What types of questions should I ask them?
Hey fishes, could you please tell me how many interview rounds are there in PwC SDC for a Manager position? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
Co-worker just messaged me on Slack - it's her first year with us - CW: "Hey, how does holiday time work? Christmas is a saturday. Do we get the week off?"
I’ve been working for my client for about a year and love my projects and client team and have had strong performance-however my team running the PMO is disorganized, burnt out, and teetering on the verge of a major mishap if the trend continues. I’m looking elsewhere but have a strong relationship with our client leadership contacts…..how would I float the idea of them taking me client-side?
Can someone help with the base salary range for a 6+ years experienced finance professional with FRM and CFA certifications in Big 6 firms in Advisory practice? Also, what should be the expectations for joining bonus during the current times?
