Is anyone interested in helping me revive my year-old pet project / startup? I need someone with web design and web development skills. It is a website kind of like glassdoor.com or fairygodboss.com for rating and reviewing companies on LGBT friendliness. Lavenderceiling.com check it out - it needs some work and has been neglected

What is S1 salary in NYC for FDD?
When I work with SMs that have a hands off working style, I just send them 30-60 minute invites at least weekly if not twice a week (depends on deal timeline) and will just walk them through where things are, ask any questions that I have, and see if they have anything analyses/adjustments to add in. I’ve found the SMs are always happy to provide coaching but they assume if they don’t hear from you that you don’t have any questions and they will work on their other deals, proposals, admin, etc.
I will say calendar invites work better than emails/pings for people with a hands off style. A lot of times it is just because they are really busy it is easier to get on a call then read a super long detailed email (even though you would likely put a lot of effort into making that email comprehensive).
Lastly, I would say to treat the call like a client call in terms of prep and have your questions/key issues written out in advance to make the call as efficient as possible.

this is really great advice
I just don’t know how 1 person is supposed to catch every single deal issue over that entire timeline.
I hate when this happens too. The best advice I can give is that you should proactively set up meetings with them throughout the project so that you don’t get a dump of comments at the end
Yes, definitely need to have the uncomfortable conversation. This happens to me but I bring it back around to my problem until we solve it.
They probably have a lot going on but it’s your responsibility to get your work done. I would nag them until you get the problem and if they get frustrated you can tell them that you still need this questions answered
Schedule walkthrough calls along the timeline of the project and walk them through the deliverable and also be prepared with my own questions.

It’s really frustrating, you just have to do your best to be proactive and manage upward.
