Able to be purposeful in my job while earning financial security for my family (breadwinner), able to have the freedom to create in my role and be appreciated for what I do. Also Able to develop skills that would open future doors for me

Financial freedom while maintain work life balance is the headline for me. Bonus if it’s something interesting and challenging without being overwhelming. I also enjoy being part of leadership/having a seat at the table during strategic discussions versus the message rolling down hill to me after the fact. Oh and mentoring is nice as well. But really first and foremost it’s my first sentence haha.

Moms, it’s my kids first Christmas/holidays at the daycare (she is almost 2). What’s the norm around gift giving to teachers? We don’t celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah but I’m trying to understand if it’s nice to give a gift to her teachers and if yes, what kind of gifts are given? Thank you!

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

Is anyone living on different floors with ~1 year old? Does it work, PROs, CONs? Our master bedroom is upstairs. There are two bedrooms downstairs so I always thought we’d use one of those rooms as our bedroom so we’re on the same floor with baby but it seems husband wants to stay upstairs. And he’s using one of the rooms downstairs as a home office. We bought this house so cannot move in the short term.

Wanted to get an idea. My almost 10 month old baby never crawled not matter how much tummy time we did with her. She only wants to stand and is trying to walk (supported. She cannot pull herself up well and if she is on her back she doesn't know how to get herself up. She can roll over no issues. How can I help her? We do exercises to help her learn to pull herself up and roll her to the side to teach her how to move from back to sitting. I'm not sure how to help her. Ftm here. Anxiety!!!
