Hello Fishes, I am new here and would like your inputs on the Grade, Designation & Basic salary in TCS. 1. Is the Grade - 'C3B' & Designation - 'ASC - Associate Consultant' correct for 11 years and 6 months of experience ? 2. And is the Basic salary offered in TCS very less than the Market standard? Thanks in Advance 🙏🏼

Need some advice here.I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future even for an ML role?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Google Microsoft Adobe Citi Barclays Bank of America

Work freakish amount of hours. Log only your allocated amount of hours. Burnout. Highly competitive type As who want to make a name for themselves but not really adding value
A players who are also collaborative
Never worked with any of what people have said above. Yes lots of high performers but it helps you step up your game. Really depends on the project you are on
Burn out and fade away
A players who will stab you in the back.
Very much depends on the project (and practice area). People in my area are very hard working and we are all friends. My current project... the low performers in other areas are the reason I hate my job. These people are levels above me not doin analyst level work
I have good friends at deloitte; they’re incredibly smart. But when they came on campus at my mba program the recruiting kind of hit the wrong tone with me and I just couldn’t see myself working there - too fratty and too cliquey. I regret not applying bc they’re doing much better than my firm, but that’s my honest assessment.
They strive to earn a lot of money

Lots of Touchebags
Really second what D5 said. Yea Deloitte digital has a different vibe but I often work with S&O and they have all been great people and additions to the team.
Again yes S&O has a lot of douches, both male and female, from MBA programs, but those folks tend to leave after 2 or so years. Really depends on your projects groups.
I am in HC; it might be the reason for our collaborative nature
It’s a mixed bag. Good part is that you can find your own group of people that you like and typically stay with them in different projects speaking for S&O). I’m a frat bro and I found another few frat Bros that do the same type of work I do - we stick together and it’s fun.
Super smart and nice people.
