Add BTC for a small allocation

You could throw it all into one total market index fun etf and be diversified.

Target fund is even better IF you're okay with the methodology and timeline. You can just set it and forget it. Personally, I'm more aggressive than target funds so that's why I do my own mix.

Depends on current age, risk profile, and timeline to cash out?

31, conservative would like to be higher than savings account interest rate, and no timeline

Chuck it into S&P500, NASDAQ and bonds

Low expense ratio ETF like VOO.

I personally have some emerging markets and tech ETFs as well, but those are personal preference.

Just based on where I’m personally long, certainly not investment advice.

Do you have any debt?

Bogleheads recommends a 3-fund index portfolio

Index funds are fine, but you’ll never get rich from 10% a year returns. If you are in a financial situation where a $10-20k loss wouldn’t kill you, I would take about 25% of that for single stocks you have high conviction on based on current trends. High risk equals high rewards and there’s no easy way. Retail investors have so many resources now compared to 12 years ago when I started.

Btc. You can thank me in 10 years

All is mutual funds with good track records. Can’t go wrong.

Is it just at my job or does anyone notice their account team never gets laid off?

Not one person from our account team has been laid off during this pandemic but our creative and production team that were already small, has been cut in half.

In an email wrapping up the lay offs, management wrote “there isn’t enough work for everyone.” But how is there still enough work for an account team that’s triple the size of the creative team, after the loss of three major clients?

WLB advice needed, fishes. When my kids (9 and 7) weren't at school, my job was AMAZING with letting me disappear from meetings to dispense snacks and just generally keeping a whacky schedule because I needed to take care of my kids since they were home all the time. With schools back to in person learning my job is understandably tightening up expectations again, even though we are still working from home. My kids don't understand/ like it AT ALL and when they get home from school they just want daddy and feel like I'm ignoring them. What do I do??

Hi there - new to the bowl. For those that have pretty large savings/investment account balances and net worths north of 300k or even 1MM under the age of 35, can I ask how it is you’re accumulating? I have a 90k salary, living in NYC. Trying to max out retirement accounts, net worth of approx. 150K+. There isn’t much room for extra savings after-taxes and expenses etc. Is my most important goal to seek a large pay increase? I don’t see how else I can accumulate as exponentially as others. TIA.

Isn't this the real question:

What's the short interest?
If it's still high (~100), that means those hedge f-ers are still in their short positions, there for the squeezing.

Rblx free fall lmao wtf

Need some wisdom on my potential error:
I recently stopped contributing to 401k to put that money into paying down massive MBA debt instead.
I know there are tax savings and money will grow at compound rate, but paying off debt that will severely limit my short term options is also important no? Also, I have a regular brokerage acct w/ Betterment that I'm treating like a 401k (won't touch it, will add to it eventually), but unlike 401k it provides liquidity if i need it.

Is Real Estate going to keep going on a tear for the medium term -i.e. 5 to 10 years? How does it make sense that rents go up like ~5% yoy and prices go up way more yoy. Cap rates are so thin already. Rates are obviously low also but how is this sustainable?

Read in a recent Morgan Stanely report that re is only leveled 5% v. 40% in 2007-08 so there's still room to grow but really? Trying to do some 1031s but might just keep the cash maybe...
