Found out I'm getting a promotion! But the raise is lower than another coworker is getting who isn't getting a title bump. Any tips for starting a dialogue? Can I negotiate? Never done this before...
Cool, firmwide promotion list is out so I can be bitter about all the other people I started with getting promoted when I didn't #grumpy
Is your company doing annual raises this year? If so, what’s the typical annual raise (%)?
The PL on my case makes every feedback feel like a personal attack - not only towards me, but towards everyone else on the team. He is unpredictable and choleric - should I raise this topic in my...
Just got a big raise (50%+) starting July 1st that is going to move me out of income limits for direct Roth IRA contributions (prior to raise was under the limit) even with maxed pretax 401k and HSA - however I am already halfway through contributions ($3000). What options do I have to address these excess contributions?
Coming back to D in October after LOA. During that LOA, I was approached by other firms, and received 3 offers. I do want to stay at D but if they cant match the offers I received, I will leave (offers include 30% increase and a promotion). How should I go about this? Do I contact my coach and let him know that I would like to stay but received different offers and I want to know if Deloitte can match them?
Deloitte: Anyone know what percentage of 2nd year consultants made it to senior consultant this year? Unsure if I will be able to grow at the firm due to lack of promotion and impacted utilization due to Covid.

Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team. New leadership than when I was hired
Any updates on bonus, increase and promotion?
I have started looking for a new job after being at my first post-law school job for only a couple of months. I’ve been applying and I’ve talked to some recruiters who seem wary of me being early in my career and leaving. Would love some advice from people who have experienced something similar (staying at my current job is not an option at this point)
Incredibly random question. Does anyone know the specific insurance plan BCG employees get? I believe it’s Aetna. I am looking at getting a surgery in the next few months when I start this fall but trying to plan for if/how much would be covered. Boston Consulting Group
Does anybody do a “work uniform” in the office? I’m new in an in-house role at a company that has dress for your day (primarily jeans), and I’m thinking about doing that when we go back (1-2 days a week). I need to buy new clothes post-covid anyways. I’m thinking some casual, but quality, plain black dresses that I can wear a sweater, jacket, blazer (when necessary), shirt, etc. over. Could dress up or down with shoes. Thoughts?
I am currently applying to consulting from undergrad and am wondering what the best additions to my resume would be. I currently have pro bono consulting and advisory experience with nice outcomes, have worked on some entrepreneurial projects, and have interned at a startup as well. What would be the best addition if I could choose between research work at my university, interning at another startup, and starting another company?
