How would you explain gravity to a kid?

You could use magnets as an analogy! The bigger the magnet, the stronger the pull. You could explain that gravity is similar but humans can't feel it in the same way we can feel the pull of magnets.

The example of the apple does not fail. You pick up an apple and let it fall, you ask him why he thinks it falls, and you tell him that there is a force that pulls the apple down and this force is called gravity.

Place his favorite anime and show him how most of the people are on the ground, that means that although they are very strong there is a force that keeps them glued to the ground, gravity.

I think that first, you have to explain what speed is and then show the speed at which an object falls when it faces gravity.

Tell him to jump and ask him why he returns so fast to the ground, then explain to him what pressure and speed are and tell him that for a moment he manages to overcome gravity because he goes faster than her until it overcomes him.

Advice needed. I’m leaving an incredibly toxic work environment (admin, students, parents, etc) for my dream job. I already resigned, but my students don’t know yet. I knew if I told them, their behavior would be even worse. How would you explain to the kids you’re leaving? I don’t want my P to know I’ve been hired elsewhere, so I don’t want to tell them I have a new position, but I also don’t want them to think they ran me off (or that I got fired, lol). I’m leaving next week.

Annual review advice?
I feel very secure in my long-term employment and am doing very well. I work at a midsized boutique with a generally solid culture. I’ve been described as “rising star/golden child” etc., glowing reviews. The thing is that I’ve had a tough year with absent mentors, low interaction/training (there are extenuating circumstances with my SA.) Do I mention what changes I need to see to stay here? Or just go along, accept my good reviews and bonus, and keep my head down?

What would u do in this "hypothetical" scenario.
1. Student gets 95 percentile on standardized tests in 1st grade.
2. 2nd gr teacher, capable and flexible but a little old school.
3. Parent, from foreign country, wants us to teach 2 years ahead of where student is at in math and reading in case they have to return to other country.
4. District's old standard for acceleration is at the 97th+ percentile and other students are much more"advanced".
5. Parent wants detailed steps for teacher's plan

Are there any mothers here who voluntarily gave primary custody to the kids father? I love my children fiercely but tbh I don’t think I’m cut out to be a single parent. Family and friends tell me I’m a great mom but at the end of the day having them on my own is exhausting and I end up just either letting them do whatever they want Bc I don’t feel strong enough to set a limit about it, or yelling at them. They’re 4 and 7 for reference. Please constructive responses only. Thank you!

Currently struggling with lack of motivation. I’m in my 3rd year at my firm and when I started I was hitting 9+ billable per day before I left the office. Over the past two years I’ve seen the opposite of indispensable employees. Yet, they sit at the same table as I do and make more. Any advice?
