Since 2014, I’ve worked within the Workday ecosystem and have received an average of 8-10 recruiter calls per day. When I was independent, my bill rate was $125 p/h and I averaged 2 projects at a time. Ended up burning myself out and recently decided to joined a firm, but Workday has shown NO signs of slowing down. I’ve seriously acquired enough money during my time working independently that I plan to retire @45.

ServiceNow will continue to explode across the business landscape - it’s truly a brilliant model in that the platform is capable of orchestrating so many critical business processes either within its walls or out. They have grown beyond ITSM, and now receive a ton of love for their HR, Project and Portfolio Management, Customer Service, and Asset Management applications.

Had the same thought as soon as I heard where he landed a while back. Just watch though. He's just gotta bet the company on buying a block chain underdog to integrate with the company and go from 0-hero first. ...or it won't be a Bill story. He has his flaws but honestly the guy's a legend in my book any day.

As for business revenues ... cloud technologies will lead the way ... Ranking a few as per my opinion on the $ business (revenue) they will bring in ... Google cloud AWS Salesforce Servicenow Workday Okta Datadog

Of course because it is difficult to sustain a year of year growth rate like AWS did when you get so large...

For sure the cloud providers would be number one. Followed by Salesforce and I would argue Mulesoft as well. The whole idea of APIs first to drive business and connecting services together is going to be something that accelerates in the next couple of years.

like

Not sure mulesoft is hot for APIs anymore. ESB has become an anti-pattern (and expensive). Definitely agree with APIs, but I'd suggest apigee is gonna be hotter

Workday > all other HCM Platforms at the moment. They are quickly rising in the FINS landscape now too. However, just like PeopleSoft’s fall from grace, someone else will emerge to take over the HCM/ERP world in 10-15 years if Workday doesn’t adapt to needs and features that will be important then.

Deloitte 10, payroll wasn’t the original topic of discussion though. In my opinion, Workday needs to catch up on that end.

I was at a virtual happy hour and an older coworker was telling a story about when he was playing a pro am poker tournament and his friend w him said ‘don’t be a p*ussy’ so he’d bet more, that was the story. There were 10 people on the zoom and no one called him out for telling an inappropriate story. I wish I did but I froze. What should I have said? I’d like to start a female only network group. I’m thinking it can be virtual, maybe meet in a small group via zoom once a month so everyone is meeting with different people every month. Maybe a google doc with the type of work the person does and their contact info. No fees, just women lifting other women up. Any Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!! I’ve never joined a network group before, so I’m sure there are details I haven’t even thought of.
