I’ve been studying for the SIE and feel pretty confident about it and I’m averaging 80+ on the practice exams, however I missed the window to test for another week bc of availability (should have scheduled it sooner). Started a new job last week and have not received much training other than HR videos on company policies. Been begging for some guidance from my new boss and coming up empty. Now he says he wants me to come up with my own 30, 60, 90 day goals for how I see my career progression going and that then he can review with me to help me achieve them…this is weird, right? I need some advise. I am a relatively new adjuster. I have 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, a bachelors degree in Business and an AINS from the institutes. I currently work as a GL adjuster with a TPA. I have seen a high turnover rate on my team in my short time at this position. I received maybe 2 hours of formal training and the rest has been learn by fire, even with claims in litigation. It’s a nightmare. I can’t get 5 minutes of my managers time a day. Would you leave?
