How would you respond if you were told no one was getting promotions due to how your organization did in the first quarter, however it’s May 2nd and now you are seeing several promotions on LinkedIn?

I think it depends on what you’re looking to accomplish. Were you up for a promotion and turned down? Or are you upset on behalf of others?

I’m not defending what your company did or didn’t do but before you do anything I think it’s important to understand what you want to accomplish first.

I was up for a promotion and others within my team. No one received it nor and feedback to work on. While others even with the same team in a different region got promoted

Anyone else feel like their students are seriously behind where they should be? I'm really discouraged by my kids critical reading and comprehension development, and it feels like we need to go back and re-hash lessons we learned weeks ago constantly. I'm a 3rd year teacher and have only taught in person for less than a full year (3rd & 4th grade), is this my fault? I feel like I'm failing my students

Hi guys, I got a feeling that big 4 or T2 companies kinda quiet in jakarta as opposed to MBB where they conduct lots of recruiting events (management consulting). Any reason for that particularly or maybe big 4 prefer internal hiring only?

Anyone down to start having once a month networking events in brickell? Consultants unite

Hello!

Is anyone hiring for roles such as Senior Recruiter/Resource Management/Talent Business Advisor/L&D?!

I was recently laid off for my company, a Big 4 firm, and am urgently looking for my next role. Anyone I can connect with or get referrals from would be greatly appreciated.

I am open to onsite or remote. Located in California so anywhere in California would be considerable.

I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

I’d like to be prepared for the initial phone screen convo, which will only last 20-30 minutes. The JD shows the salary range as 110-130(USD) commensurate with experience, but I’m happy to land anywhere in that range—yet I don’t think it’s good to disclose that. How can I tactfully still talk to the recruiter about landing closer to 130? Not trying to be greedy, but certainly aiming high!
