Stay silent when that individual takes away your credit, cry in isolation. Works for me everytime😢
Do something 100%. Mail and dhindora pito 200%.
People start remembering your and rely on you remembering what a good job you did last time for the same thing.
I had clients ask for me specifically to fix something.
dnt hasitat to take credit for bugs also.. Managers r well aware abt this situation.. n they will test u in that scenario as well like how smoothly u manage that.
In some scenarios managers will give credit to their favorite employees for some excellent work n in case of bugs they will blame u then just consider u can't stay there for long time 😁
When you start working on something, make sure every important detail or completion is being logged somewhere (mail/jira) and you are highlighting it. Keep sending EOD updates to stakeholders to ensure you have a visibility.
If still that doesn't work for you take a call with your manager and highlight that it's not working for you. If manager refuses to listen then senior manager it is. Because if this keeps on happening you will be affected during appraisals.
I have been in a similar situation. In the team meeting my colleague started discussing this thing I did as his achievement. What I did was to wait for him to complete. And this is what I told him, " Thanks for bringing this up X, while we are on the topic, I would like to thank X and Y and Z for their support during the development of this feature. I really appreciate the support from the team and it wouldn't have been possible without all your support". And by then everyone knew who's who.😎
I could hear my manager giggling 🤣
Ab dubara nahi credit lega tnare kaam ka wo lol accha sabak mil gaya usko 🤣
Go for a vacation few days!!!
I would put that person in my CV.
Mentored a junior team member 😆
Take leaves....
Leave your traces, discuss about how you did the task with him/her whenever your manager is around. Explain him/her how you did it and how we can improve.
Colleague who does boot licking to take credit of other's work gets promoted with 15-20% hike.. You switch company and get 30-40% hike along with next level in your career 😊
My manager used to keep bringing up my volumes, saying I don’t do enough. Although they were in par with everyone else. And if I did do some high volumes he ignored it. One day.. I messaged him asking how are you and all? And then pointedly asked him if he saw my volumes 😂 he said he saw it and it was really good. Sometimes get shameless and point it out
Make Yourself Noticed By Speaking Up When Its Said That This Person Has Done XYZ Work .... Mark You Higher Above's On E-mails While Sharing Data Etc.
But guys, Even when i speak up. My manager seem to ignore. ☹️
Drop your resignation and see the magic 🪄
Learn their technic and use it against them.
Unfortunately u dnt have any option if that person is getting support from management.. If ur managers r not aware abt this situation then start showing off ur work more 😄

Once one colleague blamed me in the team meeting saying she did everything and I didn’t.. I went back to the desk and sent all the screenprint with proof questioning her why is it not done by CCing TL and section manager. Worked well Enough
Same situation
Rising Star
Hope it gets better
I learnt it the hard way.. start calling people out 😂 petty but efficient
I would say it's not how you see it... First problem is at your end that you are disclosing it to the person, how you did that. Now when that person knows the process and also an expert or have handled previously same situation. he/she would definitely take a chance to prove he is the best. So, stop disclosing everything to him/her and keep something with you so atleast when presenting he needs your help in explaining..it... is so simple..Try this trick
First know your strength which no other team member can show, and delay few of them purposefully. Manager will recognise and ask you the reason, just tell them your doing hard to fix or resolve or develop them. Finish after it then.
Mail the status and also in-person to your manager after finishing.
