How’s Code and Theory these days, still a sweatshop?

I’m not allowed to say her name or I’ll get probation on here again but there was a CD there that was awful and spreading straight up lies about me - saying I was leaving early etc. when the security cameras showed me at my desk. She would loudly talk about how she was going to take the ECD’s job and I kid you not she would force me to work on Google Docs and correct them AS I was writing - like mid-word. Whenever I would freelance anywhere I would work on documents on Word and then send over / review with CD. Not AS I was typing. She was a full-blown psychopath and eventually after her lies and psychotic behavior I eventually documented everything and told the company about it. Apparently after that it snowballed and others came out of the woodwork and admitted her bullying/psychopathic ways as well. I was let go as a freelancer and the full timers thanked me for speaking up but honestly the fact C&T kept her as long as they did and allowed her abusive ways says a lot about how bad the company is.

That environment is definitely toxic. I know from experience

One of the most toxic places in our industry and if you’re a creative, your work will be redone by strategists. Also there’s so much more I can say, but they like to sue people for saying anything bad. So.... let that fact speak for that place.

Yeah still a sweat shop. Also they do quiet lay offs every month so it does not hit the media. Place is terrible

If you’re there and an analyst hit me up and I’ll help your find another place.

Is she still there?

Yeah you nailed it - she’d always talk about supporting other women when she was just trying to destroy them. Well the ‘threats’ at least (smarter more talented not sheep.) But if you witness this behavior you have to say something- looking the other way or playing dumb to keep your job is just as bad.

As a strategist, it’s actually a pretty damn good place to work.

As a strategist. As someone already pointed out it is creative redone by strategists. Instead of organically combined.
