How long did it take you to get your job - from first interview to offer?

Is implementation work so different from strat? I worked in multiple projects where the client was ex-MBB and they had no clue on how the implementation works.

What's the best way to prepare a business case presentation? I've been invited to a final round interview for a medical device company as a process optimization consultant. They sent me a client case study. In the case there are pain points of the client, and some numbers to analyze their workflow and recommend them to use their medical devices for process improvement. I'm not sure how to stucture it. how would you approach it?

When you get a rental car, what do you do to make sure you don’t get taken advantage of for some bogus issue/scratch that’s already on the car? Take pic/video before, tell the checkout person of any issues (although this can be hard especially if at a smaller airport & you get the keys in the airport and there’s no gate when you leave), buy the rental insurance? If you have a card that covers rental cars (CSR, Amex Hilton) do you decline rental insurance and use the card benefits?

Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.

I have been offered a 25 percent hike at a big 4 but have another offer with 40 percent hike in a Boutiqe firm. I asked the HR of the big 4 if she could adjust since I have a 40 percent hike letter. Interested in getting others perspective here. Senior consultant but received an offer in healthcare industry for more money and an upgraded title. TC for the offer is about a 25% increase, with the base being higher than my current TC. Currently working on a high profile client and have a decent chance of being promoted to manager next year but will probably go through hell this year to get it and it’s not a sure thing. Should I take the money and run?

MBB 🐠 I’ve heard that your firms generally only keep the top 20% of newer resources after 2yrs. How true is this? How likely is it for someone to get counseled out at the 2yr mark?
