Been really fighting sleep lately. I recall reading that’s an ADHD symptom but I can’t find it now in my half asleep but wide awake state.

Fire friendly car? I have a bmw and it’s paid off but it’s a ticking time bomb. I want something more reliable. Should I trade in and get a Toyota? For purposes of fire, I could get an older model since they last forever. But the new ones are tempting and I would pay maybe $200/mo. Worth it or just keel the bmw?

Is living in the west village worth it? Moving to nyc soon

What should I do in this situation?

Situation: i have a joining date of this month, which is less than my notice period and have another offer letter whose Joining date is after my lwd.

But the first offer is quite better than the second one and the HR of the first company is asking for LWD mail or proof, but I have that for next month.

Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job

Whenever I got promoted to digital ACD a few years ago, I noticed my pay was much lower than I expected for the market I’m in, hard to find skillsets, performance, and visibility I’ve brought to the agency. I’ve brought this up a few times and was told HR would do research into salary equity, but the convo always fades. I put my foot down with my GCD, and she supports me, but I would like to come to the table with my own research. Where should I be looking for accuracy?

Hi, I’m a creative who has yet to break into the industry and I have concerns.

As I continue to finish up my portfolio and hunt for creative jobs in advertising, I cannot help but get a bit discouraged. I see and hear so many horror stories about being black in advertising and a lot of times it just seems like the risks are much greater than any reward from working in this industry. Am I wrong in thinking so? I need a job and to make a living, but at what cost? How do I work through this?

I really wish this old white men who have no C level minorities in their companys’ and maybe a token POC at the EVP level stop telling me they ‘understand’. If that were true, we wouldn’t be where we are

Sometimes I really feel like my anxiety and overall personality is not fit for advertising. I constantly feel disconnected from my body & extremely reactive in situations (think Black Albert Einstein lol).
