What are standard practices and areas to negotiate a severance package? e.g. X months of severance, FSA, PTO, etc.

I’ve been at the company for 3.5 years, was just laid off and they’re giving 3 months + paid 2 weeks severance. Do I have room to negotiate more and is it the right thing to do?

I joined a big law firm right out of lawschool in a smaller market that still pays well. Since joining 1.5 yrs ago, it has been very slow. I’ve worked maybe 1200 billable hours total. And when the pandemic hit, my salary was reduced further than other associates at my firm because of my low hours. Many other associates have left the firm since the pandemic. I’m now back at my full salary but slow again. Should I be panicking? I’m worried I’m losing out on a lot of experience. What should I do?

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?
