I like the culture at Alix. Very few a-holes around and good focus on not getting stuck on the things that don't matter.
Very outcome oriented work and culture, and if that is you, you will like it.
It’s still a boys club. I’ve been shocked to work at a place that makes me feel like I’m in a frat house.

I’d really challenge that POV - you should ask to speak to our D&I leaders to get acquainted with the programs in place

It is generally older though. Most people have families, etc., but I think that’s a big positive - time off is respected, and there’s little tolerance for silly BS that doesn’t move the ball forward.
Lol, very very old old boys club lol

OP - not sure where you’re getting your info, but I think Alix is super supportive with D&I efforts. As for promotion, of course you need MD support for a promotion - same as every other professional firm on the planet :)
There a couple of practices that operate with the boy’s club brashness, quite intensely too. But that’s not representative of the firm imo.
Idk - Which groups should we avoid MC1?
Depends on the practice area, it can vary pretty widely even within areas, depending on the MDs you align with. And yes, success is entirely dependent on getting in with an MD or rising D.
