CSG will be always hectic. Honestly, work life balance is a myth. You can never achive it fully.
Phycological safe working environment is the most critical aspect for your professional life.
No idea, can you tell us how is it at Salesforce?
Depends completely on the team that you're working in. If you're part of CSG, your WLB and culture is highly dependent on the project that you work on. I was part of the Salesforce Industries team and had pretty bad WLB. I've heard Salesforce core is relatively better but since we're working with clients, it's as good as working in a service based company but with very good benefits.
If you're working for the products team as an MTS or above, you're WLB is considerably better. Salesforce uses Salesforce instances for all its internal usage so you'll be working on building those systems. Pay is also higher in the products team.
