With all due respect to God, definitely don't leave it up to Him. To begin with, your counsellor is useless. So request a change in counsellor( there is no guarantee that the next one would be any better, but the least you can is try your luck). In addition, make sure to rate the counsellor poorly in their LOOP and mention in the LOOP feedback exactly what your counsellor said. It will teach them a lesson! Now coming to how you can actually go about getting your milestone year "preponed" from 2024 to 2023. By default, Con to SCon is set for 3 years, so you're not at the receiving end of any bias. If you feel you're an extraordinary perfomer, you can go ahead and make a strong case of why you should be promoted to SCON in 2023. With tangible data points. Talk about this to the SM on your project. Ultimately they need to support you. Your counsellor is just a SCON and is in no position capable of making the call who should get promoted when. I'm sure you're aware by now that for promotion to the next level, you should already be performing at the next level. Check in with your Manager regularly and tell them that you're targeting an early promotion and you feel you're capable of it and to assign you work a Senior Con would take up. Presentation skills, the way you drive calls and ownership are additional major factors in deciding the promotion, besides your tech skills. The only way to get an early promotion is through a lot of hustle and hard work. "God helps those who help themselves". Maybe that's what your counsellor meant.

Con to Scon by default its 4 years, before 2018 it used to be 3 yrs. There is no more fastrack, only way to prepone is SM support.. I had one case where coachee is extremely talented and SM thought he is an asset to practice.. If you get SM support its definitely possible and coach should put some effort in coordinating with SM, talent team during the year end meeting. Only thing i see drawback here is Hybrid disucssions, system doesn’t pick the case for 1-1. Try getting written support from SM

Is it true that woman under 30 that are beautiful or attractive receive promotion and rewards way more easily irrespective of their work contributions. The focus on uplifting women is not being rightly channeled and if I dare say being misused to recognize women that are good looking, very active in hosting events or arranging lunches etc. or generally happy doing secretarial work and not focus on any real work that would empower them for life. Agree, disagree let’s have a healthy debate!

I had a hiring manager at JPM reach out for a Commercial PM role (VP role that’s almost exact same role as my current role). Recently used a couple outside offers to get my firm to raise base comp to 130k+20k bonus. Reasonable to expect JPM to pay 20% more than that or am I at the top of the expected range for a Commercial PM? 6 YOE

I am a simple medical person with an economics question: if everyone in the US gets a pay increase, with the $15 minimum wage and working up from there, that means everyone has more money to spend. Right? So if everyone has more money, won't suppliers raise prices? If suppliers/sellers raise prices, isn't that inflation? If I get 10% more in wages, and prices increase 10%, there is no gain to me. Am I thinking about this the right way?

I was sought out internally for another position in a different group and was told it was going to be a promotion (Manager —> Sr. Manager). I know the people in this group from other cross functional work in the past. I have 6 YOE and have been at this beauty/CPG company for the whole time. My friend who’s working at PwC FDD reached out to a recruiter and he has been told that PwC only consider candidates who have FDD experience. I’m so upset today because of this. I work at EY FSO assurance and just got early promoted. I wanted to switch the job right after the promotion but it seems lol there’s no hope in PwC and EY now (can’t internal transfer within EY cuz they need me to do one more busy season). Can anyone give me some advice about to switch from assurance to FDD please!
