How’s working at Jane street? Just curious what it’s like compared to other companies. Just got an initiation call from a recruiter. I don’t think I’m qualified and I’ve heard it’s notoriously hard to get into but was curious is it worth even trying? It’s for a dev ops role.

Has anyone made a career change from a creative role (AD, CW, etc) to something in marketing or strategy? What do you like better about it? What do you miss about creative work? How did the comp compare?

Was offered a Bus Ops Assc. role at a Series A FinTech which is where I desire to take my career. Main item I am having trouble disaggregating is, by taking this role am I potentially taking a step back (likely promo Manager next year)? In one sense, I feel I could develop more in the startup role though moving to a IC role / 50k less salary if promo’d (w/ equity to be fair) doesn’t feel awesome. Lmk thoughts! Thanks.

Happy Resurrection Sunday. I have RA & Fibromyalgia. It’s really hard balancing working from home & a family (married w/ 3 kids). I’m having issues with flares. I feel as though it is affecting my relationship with my family more than it is affecting my work. The reason I took a stay at home position was because I wanted to spend more time with my family and because of my health issues. I want to find that balance even though I have auto immune diseases.
