I'm an international person waiting for h1b visa to work legally in US. There's only about 36%of chance to get the visa lottery for now. Trump's policies will definitely make h1b harder to obtain. I paid same amount or even higher tuition than US citizens, paid my taxes and worked really hard to get a job here. Many international people with advanced education background like me rely on the working visa and we're making contributions to this country. We are not paid lower than other Americans in the same position. Trump's policies will have negative impact on h1b visa, and he posted on Facebook that he'll this visa disappear. Then how can people like us who came to this country with legal status keep creating values for this country? Trump's mindset will ruin all the efforts we put here. A lot of you said his policies are only against illegal immigrants, but all his perspectives on international hires and working visa treat legal and illegal immigrants the same way.

If you don't feel safe here you probably shouldn't fly in every week....you definitely should just stay in Canada

The whole point of America is that everyone gets to feel the way they want as long as it doesn't harm another person. I think Trump is an asshat, so I'm staying in America to cast every vote I can against him. OP thinks Trump might actually endanger their life, so he's moving. He will be the greatest president we've ever had! He's done more as a president elect as barack did in 8 years in office. He will make America great again and safe again. You should stick around and not run away.

Trump's victory makes me very nervous. I fully believe that he plans to implement many of the things he spoke about during the campaign. I understand that people have differing political views, but I don't feel safe at all with him in the White House. I also feel that the US will be targeted with attacks more often.

You answered why you do not support trump, but I don't see how you answered why trump makes you scared for your life as an AA enough to move. In fact, moving to a foreign country and having to travel would exacerbate some of your fears and NOT be in your best interest if you were right. Under 8yrs of Obama, AA poverty rose, crime rose, and unemployment rose. If anything, Bill Clinton was to blame for the largest increase in minority incarceration and likely would have been furthered by Hillary who talked of super predators needing to be brought to heal. Are you fearful you will be arrested based on how trump wants to police minorities? If anything, it is whites that should be fearful over some of the recent racial hatred and black on white crime due to the racial polarization and BLM violence.

P1, one thing I've learned in this already great nation is to be a man of my word. I've made a commitment and I will keep it. If I happen to find an international role after this assignment then I'll happily fly elsewhere. 🙃
