How do you deal with a poor manager/SM who doesn’t contribute/lead/or coordinate anything. Simply sits in the back and watches as everyone else does the work. Is not timely with responses to clients. And wastes a lot of time with useless meetings slapped on schedules. Makes entire teams look bad. This person is new to the firm and consulting, so may be a learning curve.

Is there something wrong with spending time with a new partner on Christmas? I’m away from family and I spent the morning and last evening with friends. Relatedly, if I don’t mind, is there something wrong with putting in a billable hour or 2?

Curious to hear collective thoughts on a salary increase for an employee. 2 years of experience and looking for a raise of almost 10K and has only been with the company for a year.

On one had the employee has been instrumental in keeping business afloat during the pandemic and was awarded a 15% bonus at the end of last year.

The other hand, it seems like it may be setting a precedent of having such large increases YoY. Thoughts?

Year 1: SC 140-160 Base 20-30K Bonus
Year 2: SC 160-175 Base 25-35K Bonus
Promotion year? How difficult is it at this point to go to Y3 as M
Year 3: M 175-190 Base 30-40K Bonus
Year 4: M 185-200 Base 35-45K Bonus
