Human Resources Coordinator Salary NYC I manage 5 offices with 225 employees and make 85k is that good market pay? We’ve hired 79 people this year abs terminated 60.

That seems fair. What was your starting rate? If you started at that salary and feel like you've been going beyond your job description, may be time to renegotiate your salary.

Well I’ve put in over 70 hours OT unpaid dealing with the Red Devil conversion and aftermath. Only got a 6.25% increase in June to 85k. Medical went up 18%.

When I run payroll it’s an extra 10 hours of work easy with all the calculations and corrections needed.

I started at 80k and left a lab company making 92k

When I entered the role there was a backlog of three years of paperwork to sort through which I’m still dealing with and it’s been 16 months

I see roles advertised in my area for 115k

It depends! I’m an RC for a big company but only make 65k

Pay sucks looking at other roles right now

That is pretty good. I think your duties lean towards a generalist though. If that’s the case, I would say you could potentially ask for more. Why did you leave a higher paying role?

I was working 80 hours a week at a diagnostic company with a 14 hour day every payroll Friday with no meal breaks. It was what was expected of the role. The person who replaced me quit after a year and they reposted the job. They put me on a Pip to push me out so my manager could get a friend of hers in the role.

That seems fair. How long have you been working there? Maybe you can ask for a raise.

Left a job I love (WLB + Product + Team) for a similar role with double the comp (literally double) and a better brand name company (so-so industry). Guess I’m more financially motivated that I thought haha hope I don’t regret this 😂

I just graduated from college this year and I’ve been blessed to receive several job offers. I obtained my dream job, but the salary as an entry level employee isn’t very sufficient. I received an offer for a remote position, so I was wondering if it would be possible to manage two full time jobs at the same time if one is remote and the other was on site. Of course, I would make both employers aware and seek permission. I would really appreciate the community’s thoughts on this.

Can anyone at Pwc AC bangalore office confirm if they are reopening anytime soon or already working in hybrid mode? Resume question that I struggle to answer. If someone has been working for ~20 years and has worked at a number of companies during that time (let’s say 10 for the sake of this example), the resume becomes way too long. Is it okay to remove the 1st couple of jobs that were held after college even if relevant? Or maybe delete a job or 2 if they aren’t 100% relevant to the rest of the person’s career? Final option is to leave names of companies (and titles) of early roles but delete the content.

Anyone else hit a point where you were ready to leave the HR world too? I did… I acted. Sooo glad. I feel relief, freedom, excitement again! Resigned from an upper level mgmt role last month. Burned out, miss being independent and tired of the HR industry stigma and lack of appreciation at my company.
So I’m leaving it & going into an industry that allows me to be 100% remote, earn 3-5x as much and help others do the same.
Anyone else make this shift or choose self emp?

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.
