Do you think there’s a glass ceiling for out gay employees? I’ve been with my (now) husband for the last two decades and had three positions. I’ve absolutely excelled in each, winning awards, exceeding goals, working well. But with each position, I’ve had difficulty getting promoted. I even took on the responsibilities of a senior director after his firing and I couldn’t get promoted. My handpicked successor — who I think is an excellent marketer — became a director almost immediately.

I’m currently an associate with an asian asset management company. I previously have been in pr agencies where work is fast paced and as an intern, i understood the intensity needed to work and consider myself as someone who is really willing to work hard long hours and deal with pressure.
