Was just offered a role at good startup after a long interview process. The role was originally a Sr PMM but they said they want to bring me in without the Sr. title while keeping salary the same. I negotiated for more stocks. I’m a bit conflicted - as my experience - 10 years in marketing and 2 with specifically Sr PMM- warrants a Sr title IMHO, but I’m also okay with less responsibility for the same pay. However, I’m wondering if there’s some misogyny here? HM and VP are men. Thoughts?
It’s Friday night at midnight and I just got out of work. I am new to FPP defense. So far it’s soul crushing. I feel like a robot just doing the same pattern pleadings and discovery over and over. If I try to be creative or ask questions I get the response that I should not recreate the wheel… basically just cut and paste. My brain feels like it’s going to rot doing this work. Hi Folks, I am in business consulting, risk analytics at manager position in EY. I am currently serving notice. Initially they refused to waive off my notice and now they are asking me to leave abruptly and pay the recovery amount. When I checked my offer letter I couldn't find any such clause that says I need to pay. What can be done?

I was just hired as HR Generalist/department of one/first HR hire for a small start-up. First week in and I find out that previous COO is in rehab and has made some some egregious promises around comp, additional benefits to EEs, and also made some decisions that cost the company a significant amount of money. Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?
