.....wait? Think about the optics if your name was in the newspaper headline for getting a vaccine
If you get the vaccine in that situation, you are a bad person

No you are not eligible b/c 1) you are not patient facing 2) you are not a healthcare worker 3) you are not an FTE of your client 4) you work for the client - there are rules of what you can and can't accept from them

I say wait. As someone who does see patients there is already a limited enough supply. Just let the healthcare workers get it first- the ones who actually see patients.

I know in NY they’ve defined it as a “patient facing” healthcare provider
Are you kidding OP? Be a responsible human. You know the right answer to this.
On another note, there’s news of healthcare clinics throwing out vaccine doses because they don’t have enough eligible people signing up for them. If 1 vial contains 10 doses, and there’s only 6 people who sign up, I think it’s absolutely ok to take a remaining dose if you’re eligible even if you’re not a healthcare worker.
Yeah OP, tbh, I agree with EY 2. The vaccine has a shelf life of a month. Some states like Florida literally are just telling people “hey we have 200 vaccines...first come first serve, sign up.” And some hospitals are giving vaccines to the general public if they know their inventory is about to expire.
IMO, wait another two weeks before signing up.
Are you a "Health Worker"? The answer to this question is the same one to your question here.

I’m getting the vaccine in this situation.

Lol okay my white knight virtual signaler
What’s the point of getting it 2-3 months early as a 22-29 year old?
Many healthcare workers are denying it. This is an easy one.
Wait your turn...if you can work safely from home you don’t need a vaccine. Lots of others out there with legitimate vocational and health needs.
I hear all of you...but there are so many time slots available. It feels like the people who can get it just aren't. Isn't it better to have more vaccinations no matter who they are?
This is definitely one where you need to ask your partner.
I work with health providers too and it was very clear from the get-go that us being on certain distribution lists was purely informational, not because we were actually qualified for any of the perks / deals / etc. being offered.
I think my team would get in genuine trouble if I did what you’re proposing and my client found out.
I would question your judgment/business ethics.
Clients often provide us access to info, services, etc. We show restraint and maintain that trust by acting in a responsible manner.
OP: is your client (person you report to at client) even a healthcare worker? If not, even your client ain’t getting the vaccine at this point. It’s strictly HCPs right now
Do you need to visit older family where being vaccinated allows you to see them and spend time more safely? I’m very low risk but would take the vaccine early if it meant I could see my aged 75+ parents who live 6000 miles away. It’s not just you protected, you are helping others stay safe by being vaccinated.
One caveat to that is you can possibly still transmit the virus after being vaccinated so may not open this up as much as people hope. It just keeps you from getting sick if you have it.
Do it, we need to start vaccinating everyone who is willing. We should give elderly and patient facing priority but we also have to start putting needles in arms instead of continuing this slow trickle we currently have.
Get the vaccine.
