I was making 99k at current employer and got an offer for 140k but no promotion with a competitor...should I take?
M7 infrastructure in Texas. I'm currently paid near bottom of scale in my group. I'm not upset and love my job and my peers. I have an offer for 40% raise to industry job. I prefer my current work though, both from daily work and career path. But 40% raise is a big deal. At what point is the pay raise more important than daily work joy. I'm stressing over this decision. I don't really want to leave.
Why some people find 1 thing you did not do as well (1 situation) and drill on that instead of elaborating on100 good things you did on an engagement. Promotion year - better get promoted or im am out
I'm glad to see our Hospital Administrators do something to help raise morale, because the media is not seeing all of the dedication from everyone - especially Environmental Control workers
I was up for promotion to director. Haven’t heard anything yet. Any IFS folks getting the call about your promotions yet?
New to options so appreciate the help in advance- have bought call options OOM - earnings is tomorrow - currently would make profit if I sold- but expecting good news tomorrow that would raise the underlying price. Multiple people are saying you should sell before earnings because the options price may actually go down - can someone explain if this is accurate and why?
🐠 I officially accepted a new job yesterday! Promotion, big raise and a new city. Can’t believe it’s real and that it’s happening to me. 😭
Just got an offer with Accenture. How does start date and timing of annual performance review impact promotion? Is it more advantageous to start at a certain month of the year?
What are the ladies wearing to promotion day tomorrow? Want to be casually dressed for a celebration but still work appropriate
Hello! I’m looking for advice on asking for a raise. I accepted a UX design role about a year ago within my company and I was verbally told I would receive a raise with my title change after a few months on the job. After a few months, I was told no raises because of the pandemic (understood). With a new year and recently receiving my masters in UX, when is the right time to ask for the raise with the pandemic still happening?
Up for promotion to senior this year, corporate recruiter from Apple sent me some positions similar to Global Sourcing Manager. Is this legit? I feel underqualified. Also is Supply Chain a pigeonhole?
Is consulting losing its appeal due to the lack of travel? And if so, will firms have to raise base salaries to attract talent? (I’m specifically talking about Strategy Consulting)
Huge mistake to leave when promotion is relatively soon? If I’m kind of miserable every work day? I’ve asked friends and people in my network—just wanted to crowdsource too.
I heard that Huron is building back their healthcare strategy dept. Can anyone comment on this a bit further?
How does retirement work at your respective firms for Partners and MD’s? Is there a pension plan for you or a buyout plan? Also if you don’t mind sharing, I would love to understand roughly how significant your retirement plans are and how that drives or has driven career decisions.

Has anyone had luck with a credit counselor or service that’s helped boost your credit score? Care to share who’s helped?
More and more over the last year I've thought I needed to get out. I'm not miserable but I'm also not happy like I used to be. Once I get my manager bonus in April I'm out.
I graduated in last May and started working in Texas. I lived in Texas for a few months but never officially became a Texas resident. Recently moved back to my home state with remote work and changed my address with my firm to my home state, so now my W-2 is for my home state, not Texas. Where do I file taxes? Please help, first year filing taxes!
2nd year manager here currently on a project (approx 50% of my time) with L&D and I'm really enjoying it - any thoughts/perspectives on moving from audit to L&D?
Flight is delayed 3 hours from DFW to ATL and it’s not related to Florence. This is ridiculous. So if anybody wants to hang out at DFW tonight...
