HYS question: has anyone had success negotiating rates or asking a bank to match? I’ve got a lot of cash in Marcus account at 2.5% and am seeing 3-3.5% at other sites. I’d rather avoid the hassle of moving money around but it’s starting to add up a material difference

Earlier I posted an opinion about a non-advertising related subject and somebody talked down to me because I'm a junior copywriter. Just want to reiterate, the subject had nothing to do with advertising and the person used my advertising job title to talk down to me. This bowl can be kind of insufferable sometimes.

After talking with some friends, looks like cyber is shifting in the industries. Focus now is more on technical skills and less on management. It makes sense in some ways, if you had the budget for only one guy, companies will take the technical guy over the nontechnical.

Looking at houses around $800k. Just got introduced to the idea of a jumbo loan…. I have about $125,000 in equity in my current house, which will probably be closer to $100k by the time closing is done. My local lender is requiring 20% down on a jumbo loan, which I don’t have. My first question is—does anyone know of a lender who doesn’t require 20% on a jumbo? Second, I have about $100k equity in a rental property but lender requires 40% down on investment properties for a HELOC. Help!
