HYSA, money market fund, ETF, mutual funds, or somewhere else to keep emergency funds?

I have 2 months in cash, 2 more in Bond ETFs, and lastly a HELOC worth close to 9 months - so between these 3 items, I could weather a ~1 year storm - if I get through all of that without solving the issues, I have close to 27 months and growing in savings in a brokerage which I would tap if needed.

The goal of money is to use it in a way that makes sense, so at some point I will spend the brokerage too.

HYSA, FDIC insured. Emergency fund is meant to be available when you have an emergency. Not necessarily when the market is doing well.

I personally would divide my emergency fund into tiers. I’d have 3-4 months liquid (Money Market Fund) months 4-7 in short/interim term bond funds, and then an additional 3-6 months in a blue chip dividend portfolio. The risk I’m mitigating would be having to eat into my tax deferred assets in a bad situation. Also, who’s to say that situation only lasts 3-6 months?

DIVO - high dividend low volatility
GSY - short term bond fund

Hi, new to this bowl ☺️ I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions on where to put my money, if not in a regular savings account? I’m so so grateful to have graduated from college over a year ago with no debt and I have minimal living expenses, so I’ve been able to save a lot. A percentage of my paycheck goes towards my company Roth 401K and company stocks, but I feel clueless about how to be smarter with my money and not let it ‘collect dust’ lol.

Im TOTALLY new to real estate so please bear with me. My borough did an assessment on my property that came being $40k more than what I bought it for. I missed the dispute due date because I was out of state and just got the letter from 2 months ago. Should I find a way to dispute so I pay lower taxes or should I keep it as it because it’s appreciating? Sorry I’m a bit lost. TIA

Okay, so I think I might have done something stupid. I put a good chunk of money in TQQQ a couple of days ago. I was hoping for a small gain in the current run (after which I’d pull out, c.3% up). I’m now 15% down. I know you’re not supposed to hold leveraged funds for too long. So what should I do now? Do I cut my losses and pull out? Thanks all - appreciate the help!

Switched jobs from a company that offers Vanguard 401ks to Fidelity. My personal brokerage was also under Vanguard.

I was thinking about consolidating everything under Fidelity but it seems like there are transaction fees for buying Vanguard mutual funds if I want to continue investing in my personal brokerage. Is there any way to dodge these fees or is it just normal for people to keep multiple investment accounts, one for a 401k and one for brokerages, if they don't match?
