Time entry week always is a life ruiner for me.

What’s billing week?

Simply the week when we bill clients.

Today is 30/07/2021 so all files billed monthly on time basis must be in order for accounts to run the bill and share time ticket report with the clients together with the invoice. I am not very diligent with my time tickets...spelling mistakes etc or ticketing my work so the last day of the month is the hardest for me. The we spend next week doing back and forth with accounts and PA finalizing on bills (the part I hate).

One time I didn’t enter my billing for four days and it literally took me an entire weekend to dig out of

That happened to me before so I started using a diary to manually indicate work done per day and the hours spent...then insert into Abacus at the end of the day or week. I either used to forget to stop the time tix from running or start it. It's been a disaster. We recently switched to Abacus and it's taking me time to get used to it

I may be a giant asshole for this, but I sometimes don’t have the patience to deal with my SO’s mom..simply because she has the risk tolerance of a groundhog…she is scared of absolutely everything, and sometimes judges me for my opinions on things..not outwardly but like..subtly..and I’m not by any means someone that adventurous…it really doesn’t have any impact on our lives because we can just turn around and do what we want anyways but like..ughhh

Hi everyone!

After years of hard work, I just got my first position in a leadership role! Yay! I’ll be leading a team of 12.
I wanted to know if you had any tips for me, things you wish you knew before, or things previous leaders did for/to you that you found admirable or stayed with you. I want to make sure I’m there for them and want to be a leader they will remember positively.

Thank you so much!!

I’m the only associate (mid-level) in a niche transactional group. My team is slammed. My paralegal is on leave. My partners keep delegating work to me but then I have no one to delegate anything to. Nearly everything for 2 big deals is on my list. I’m so stressed that I feel like I can’t breathe most days. I need help but there isn’t any available. I’m starting to feel like quitting is my only option. Any recommendations?

So I recently started a position with Fox. When it was presented to me in interview, I was told I would be working aligned with Fox Sports & Entertainment, not so much News. Now that I’m here, I’m seeing everything I’ll be doing is with the News team & makes me uncomfortable. No diversity, outdated software & process.
Financially, it’s the best position I been in. But mentally in this environment, it’s depressing & slow. Nothing innovative or engaging. What would you do?
