Headhunter has reached out to me with 2 opportunities, one with a megafund and another for a small fund I've never heard of and wouldn't be interested in joining. The headhunter is pushing me to consider the small fund. Can be clear with the headhunter that don't want to proceed with the small fund, or does that risk the headhunter not connecting me with the megafund?

Am I being too judgmental? During the interview process I ask questions that help me identify culture. During my recent interview I directly asked “How would you describe your culture?”, and it was described as “work hard, play hard”. I expected a much more meaningful reply. Thoughts?

What are people's take on taking angel money vs bootstrapping?

Current state: Hard product on e-commerce (we own the IP), contract manufacture locally, side hussle, 6 figures in revenue and margins >50% after shipping. Growth hacks haven't worked, we seem to grow 30-70% y/y.

What are most producers seeing for their commission % on NB? I have a base salary, so I am not straight commission- BUT I only receive commission on new biz, nothing on renewals/retention. An in-law is in a failing marriage. Her spouse has been extremely crude to her and her kid for several years now to the point where she feels hopeless in getting the love feels she wants and is miserable.

My wife had the idea of me showing the in-law type of love I’ve shown to her (my wife), because she claims the in-law has appreciated what I’ve done for her so far (I haven’t heard such appreciation, however) and the in-law could really use the boost to her self-worth and self-esteem.

I have no idea what is wrong with me or how to fix it. In my lifetime, I have no real friends even though I meet so many people. I reach out and they dismiss me. I ask how they're doing and they don't reciprocate or ignore me. I really try to be a kind, fun friend.

My therapist thinks there's nothing wrong with me, but I just meet the wrong people.
But this sounds wrong, they all have close friends, nobody actively hates me, though clearly I am doing something wrong. I can't live like this.
