I just graduated from college this year and I’ve been blessed to receive several job offers. I obtained my dream job, but the salary as an entry level employee isn’t very sufficient. 10th year in a relatively specialized field and partnership prospects are fantastic. Problem is, I’m completely fried. I find the work boring. I’m considering a lateral offer in lit between a V10 and V50. The V10 has the brand value, but I got the impression that I would just be another cog in the machine there. The V50 is similarly well regarded in my specific practice area as the V10, and I do think if I want to try to make partner I should go to the V50. Does brand value particularly matter?
