I accepted another Job & have they are a drug-free workplace (fine with that). Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Alcohol? WHAT, it’s a holiday weekend!! Can anyone help explain what this is? Can I don’t drink?

It's a matter of making choices. You can drink anytime you wish to after your pre-employment drug and alcohol test. That's their policy and there's nothing we can do about that except turning down the opportunity.

It’s a weekend. You can’t hold back for one weekend?

Alcohol.is out of your system so fast,. Drink this weekend, just stop the day before. Alcohol tests only catch current drinking not days ago or further

Oooh wow. I have never had to do an alcohol test. However, alcohol goes through your system pretty fast. If the drug test isn't until Tuesday I would just be careful how much you drink on Monday.

It would only for 1 weekend. I think you can control yourself. It's a matter of sacrifice

I have been offered a position in-house at a $500M-$1B company, mid-sized city LCOL, 10 YOE in private practice. They offered me $120k, w opp for undefined discretionary bonus. No paid parental leave or 401(k) match & only 1 week PTO in first year (but claim they have discretion for more). Is there any way to salvage this? Salary guides suggest TC should be around $200-215k. I want to get my foot in the door but this seems crazy low.

Can I use the floating holiday after 9/30 or is it gone?

For anyone debating whether to go in house, I recently went in house, and the mental health benefit of not having to worry about billable hours is completely worth the switch. It's great not having to worry about catching up on hours when I'm out for a doctor's appointment, vacation, etc. It's more of a mental health relief than I guessed it would be.
