My cat will block my screen when he needs pets/I need a stress break. Here he is being an asshole, per usual

Sir this is a leopard
My doggie used to lay his chin on my knee or poke me with his wet nose when I was stressed or upset so that I could rub his floppy ears. I loved his ears. I had him for 16 years and had to put him down coming up on 2 years ago in February. My eyes are filled with tears as I write this. I will miss my sweet boy for the rest of my life. ☹ He followed me everywhere. Dogs are the best.
Thank you all very much. He really was the best. It definitely sucks when they have to leave but so true that it's "better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Enjoy your furbabies 💜💜
Anyone else have pets that really show they care? Tell us!
I got my dog right before finals week of 2L year. She slept at feet the whole time I studied and I played with her during study breaks. People were nervous she’d distract me for finals, I ended up doing the best I had yet and I know it was because she calmed my nerves. She turned into the best study buddy through the remainder of law school. When I graduated, my family and I joked that she got her Juris Dogtorate. When I got virtually sworn into the bar, she was also sitting at my feet then and she hangs out with me while I work, too. I truly can’t put into words how much I love her 🐶♥️
This is making me realize when I’m having a particularly stressful day (closing, multiple deals blowing up) my dog comes and does this to me. I’ve always thought it was him being needy but this post makes me realize it’s him comforting me. Now I’m gonna go give him a bunch of kisses.
I am making this jump in a few weeks. I got my dog in Aug 2020. He is definitely a pandemic dog, and he curled up right next to me everyday in my home office. We will see if this changes in a few weeks!

Dogs are amazing. We spoil ours so i think she gets the idea that she's at the top of the totem pole, but still....best spontaneous decision my wife and i ever made (adopt don't shop!)

Hi, appreciate the sentiment, but please don't use phrases like "top of the totem pole."

Dogs are the best and they just know. When I’m having a panic attack, I lay on the floor and my girl just lays right alongside me lengthwise. Works wonders.
Wow it's my dream to be able to have a puppy under my desk. Currently highly considering getting a therapy dog

I switch between my desk and the couch (my back and neck hurt less when I work from the couch) and my dogs follow me wherever I go.
Last year I got pregnant and they both hovered around my belly the entire time. Sadly, I lost the baby but I’ll never forget how in tune they both were with me.

What kind of dog?

Aww, working dogs are the BEST
Love it. I’m also guessing that you don’t spend as much time in your office.
Yes, fewer hours but still wishing my pup would join me for a bit for old times sake.
