Hi Folks, What's reviews of Publicis Sapient. Like work culture and if there is hiring firing culture I am from ETL background and knowledge of Hive and basic spark and I will be working on cloud(attended training only, consider near to no knowledge) and spark development. Will you suggest me to join there? Technology stack may be good for me but it will be new & challenging for me. I am scared to join there because of job security and work life balance can be dying ( I can stretch not daily?
Hi, Consulting Moms! I need advice - I am leaving industry to return to consulting. I have offers from KPMG and Deloitte, and we are looking to start a family ASAP (we have been actively trying and I have a feeling it would be just my luck to start a new job and find out I’m pregnant). Would love your insight around personal experience with hours per week, work-life balance, culture, etc. Offers are same level/role/scope (Change Management / Transformation / Human Capital) and same salary. TY!
Is MBB (mostly thinking about McKinsey) really that bad in terms of WLB? I feel like people tend to exaggerate things sometimes - i was told i'd be working approximately 65h at Deloitte in Tech Strategy and honestly that barely ever happened. I wasn't considering switching since I love my job and my team, but many people are telling me I shouldn't "waste" my potential at Deloitte (whatever that means...). They kind of got to me and now i'm looking for more info about the culture/work at MBB.
Why is every Designer that I’ve ever worked with that love grid systems so into techno music and rave culture?
Shifting back to India soon for personal reasons to work in a startup - any major differences between the work culture in India vs in US that I should be aware of?
I'm a new hire in EY and I'm truly enjoying my time, I'm getting to work with some great techs and the people culture is much better than at EY. I get a chance to speak to the partners and I rarely...
Meritocracy is one of the best ideologies of the modern world. Was reflecting about what it means and the importance of it - it’s a shame that today’s culture is trying to pivot away/“cancel” it. Just a midday meeting thoughts lol Work hard and reap the fruits of your labour.
Kinda disturbing how intensely some folks ordering the iPhone X are being attacked online. Why does it matter if others want a phone? It seems to be another manifestation of the culture wars.
Transferred to BAH from BCG to take a 20% bump and the opportunity to work in the federal space. Initial thoughts - disorganized orientation, decent culture. However, got placed on the bench 😑
Anyone in m and a tax at DT - can you share your experience culture teams leadership etc?
I have offers with Bain (Sr mgr) and BCG (PL2), and will be focusing on their PE practices. I know Bain is the leader in PE work, but having trouble deciding which offer to go for. Biggest factors for me to consider is career progression (in consulting), culture, optionality in the types of deals/projects. My conflict right now is I had better interactions with BCG interviewers and initially leaned that way, but the infrastructure & market presence of Bain in this space is strong. Thoughts?
How is the wlb at A&M MAS? Not expecting it to be a 9-5 by any means but want to make sure I’m not stepping into some crazy culture. Any insight would be helpful.
Hi All, I am from Performance Testing background and will joining Citi Group Account from TCS. Any idea on how the work culture and account is?
Business etiquette question: when traveling with your boss is it okay to ride your boss's coattails with regard to airline status. For example, he gets free checked bags so he will check mine with his to get higher unloading priority and to save the company a few shekels. I also use the priority lines with him when we need to go to the airline counter and when we board the plane. I am American & travel mostly to latin American countries (since feelings towards queues might change on culture).
To be great at the ad game, you need to be a connoisseur of culture. The thing is, the people who've been in this industry the longest, have no idea what's going on because they've been busy as fuck.
PwC CMAAS. What is the culture/work like.
Anyone can share insights about the Diversity Rotational Program at FTI consulting? Recruiter reached out and I’m curious to see what are the type of projects, culture and growth opportunities. Thanks so much 🙏
What is the difference between working in consulting in SF vs. NYC? Looking to relocate after UG, but want to make sure I'm making the right decision. I'm thinking about WLB, network, exit opp, culture, price, quality of life, etc.
Does the workload lesson over time, or do you just get used to the longer hours? Hmmmm...
Anyone aware of the interview process for the Evening/Weekend MBA at Booth? Is there an option for an audio/video interview?
For those who’ve taken the Big 4 > M7 MBA path, did you need to differentiate how your experience at B4 was superior to that of your peers? Or is just surviving a few years with an average rating ok?
I think it would help with the spread of Covid if workers were in the building only when neccessary. Not all employees need to be 40 hours, do their job n leave, with limited people n time
23 years old, $0 in debt, $71k cash in the bank, $12.4K invested in the stock market and working Big 4 making 76.2k a year. Currently invested in VOO, VOOG, BRK.B, and MSFT (ROTH IRA & Individual Brokerage A/Cs). Should I be investing more heavily with all the cash I’ve saved up; I’m a little worried about the market volatility, but also I’m 23 so want to cash in on compounding interest.
Should you ever negotiate salary during an interview, if asked? Or just say you expect a strong market offer and wait for their details after HR contacts you after the interview?
I am writing a piece on sexism in the corporate workplace. Covering blatant (i.e. salary) and subtle (i.e. excluding women from golf outings) instances of sexism. Would love to hear relevant stories!
Hey 🐠, I’m trying to understand if I need to be looking for lateral exit opportunities from a compensation perspective. I’m a Manager in the M&A IT practice, 12 YOE (7 in Tech and 5 in Consulting). I am happy with the work I do and the people I work with are tolerable. New base salary is $178K starting this month. Asking because I’ve heard that people should keep jumping from one company to another in Consulting to have a competitive comp. Basically guys, is my compensation competitive?
Mothers, how do you keep your life going / live your life for yourself without having all your time sucked up by work and kids? I grew up with a doting stay-at-home mom, so I don’t have many examples of what balanced motherhood looks like. Also, it seems like American society erases your entire identity as a human being beyond “mom” once you have a kid, and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Thinking of having kids someday, but worried I’m too selfish to go for it.
Does Big4 hire ACCA individuals from international countries (they will not need visa sponsorship and would be legally authorized to work in USA).
How is d work culture, career prospects and overall growth opportunities in EY GDS? Just received an offer today for Manager1 position. I hav 12 YEO.
What package does a 2nd year manager get at PwC Chicago Tax and what would be the joining bonus? How is the culture over in the office? Does Asians get fair treatment?
If we mandate masks for US citizens who are fully vaccinated why don’t we check Covid status of illegals and prevent them from entering? Heck, they shouldn’t be allowed to enter anyway!!
A confession: Asked my office crush out today casually. We work in the same client space, joined together and we both live in Pune. Said no without giving any reason. I am disheartened 😔
Just got back from 2 week long PTO and the only emails in my inbox are the mass corporate ones... Did I get fired without knowing it? Lol
I desperately want to teach JH History, but every job I interviewed for told me no thanks, they only want coaches (two even specified male!!). Super disheartening. Hopefully one day I can do it.
One year out from applying and wondering if it makes sense to "start" applications at my target schools so I can get a feel for the types of questions. Is this a good practice, or could it appear like I didn't fully "commit" and come back to bite me when I actually do apply?
