Anyone at Huron in provider/medical group practice willing to refer? I have a strong background in performance improvement and value-based care.
HR keeps trying to paper me up with speed to output crap because they think I’m sick, but the reality is that I’m terminal and probably won’t be around to see the end of this. God I hope they don’t pretend to put up a caring memorial when I’m gone.
Completed biometrics for Greencard shall I proactively do my medical or wait until we get told to?
Hello fishes! Anyone has any referrals for a fresher's job? My brother is about to graduate but is having trouble getting placed. He has a pretty sick resume btw! Any and all help would be appreciated :)
Are there legal ramifications for doctors sharing medical opinions on social media? If they specify that they’re not giving medical advice is that enough? Wondering if there’s any guidance on this (I’m thinking similar to the FTC’s guidelines on how to designate social media posts as sponsored).
Worth buying a home right now? I’m In the MW & breakeven on a townhome vs renting apt is ~3 yrs. Mortgage (+taxes) vs rent ~=. The caveat: can wait 1 yr where supply MIGHT catch up a little to flatten out this crazy market while interest rates still haven’t crept up to that 4-5% average. Ill have more buying power with prices POTENTIALLY decreasing and more money saved for down payment.can skip starter and go straight for forever home. Or i can buy now and take the risk of selling lower in 5 yr
I’ve got a relatively minor medical procedure scheduled before Thanksgiving, and I just signed a new job offer. Is it cool to bring this up during start date discussions? Would ideally recuperate for a week before starting officially and getting on boarded. TIA!
What is the maternity policy in Big4? In EY we need to work for at least an year and we get 16 weeks paid parental leave+ 2 weeks short term disability leave.
My LWD in Deloitte USI is 8th of October. Should I use up all my casual/sick leaves, or are they paid as a part of f&f?
I got OC asking for medical records from almost a decade ago. I don’t think they exist, most medical records are only stored for 7 years. Anyone got any information on the law around here?
When did you start introducing solids? Paediatrician said today we should start at 5-5.5 months. This feels early and there is no medical reason.
Really considering calling in sick today and working from home. That's how badly I want more sleep.
Curious as to what the views on canibas (medical & recreational use) are in the finance industry. From what I've seen, it's a stigma compared to alcohol, but maybe it just appears that way?
I'm curious about a job doing something with medical devices or software. I have about 9 years experience as an EMT but only 3 as a developer, so I'm curious if that's something any employers are interested in. Anyone have any insight?
This 4th of July has been the worst one in my whole life. I found out my significant other was cheating on me, my dog got really sick and now my pregnancy test came out positive...
Which firms have the best maternity/paternity packages? Do any cover some of the cost of surrogacy? I have a medical condition that would make actually carrying a child dangerous, so wondering if some firms offer help in that area (I’ve heard of some covering IVF costs).
Interesting reading while dyslexic challenge. I read it better than I expected, which I think is due to my own ADHD-related reading disability (cont)
Situation : A sped student has an accomodation in their IEP to ride the SPED bus. However, the student and his brother have been refusing to get on the bus and get violent towards anybody trying to put them on the bus. They hit kick and spit on the driver and the assistant when getting strapped into the bus. According to the student handbook they should be suspended because of their actions. Question: should the students be suspended or does their legal accomodation supercede district policy.
Anyone know why my credit karma score and my credit score on Amex is different by 80 points? Which one is more accurate? (And is my Amex score impacted by my corporate card)?
Anyone have insight into Citi's WLB and culture? Got an offer to join their Digital team. Comp is basically where I am now (lower bonus percentages actually), but would be more of the work I like (from PMO to product). Culture and work hours will be a huge factor in my decision.
What has been the worst thing a client has said to you? I was told to “Stop bothering X because unlike you, he has a real job to actually work”
Anybody ever transferred office to an office in less expensive area. Was your salary cut? If so, was it in line with cost of living ?
PwC 🐠, can you not roll over vacation days? What's this with losing holiday time by June 30? Please help me understand- how do you know if you have holiday balance? Thus isn't different from vacation
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
Moms, I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Everyone on my family is vaccinated. What are safe activities to do with these kiddos in the midst of all this covid variant environment. I thought about the pumpkin patch, hiking, the park, and walks as long as we distance from others. I just get nervous about catching colds or a breakthrough covid infection. I’m not paranoid, just risk averse. The whole family got the TSV bug a month ago, and it was miserable. Just trying to be practical, but not a
How many of you stay in corporate apts vs hotels? Just signed a corporate apt lease in a modern luxury building with great amenities. Same airfare and meal policy. Benefits outweigh losing the points?
First year in consulting- Close to chargeability target but might receive a below average rating due to most recent project. Is this enough to let someone go based on your experience?
When you roll off a project do you send emails to the clients you worked with saying "thank you"? If yes, what do you say? I'm about to roll off a project I've been on for a year
How are parents managing WFH with kids schedule? Looking for ways to share work calendars with spouse (not details but only slots) to manage work and life commitments but organisational settings are limiting us ☹️ any workarounds?
Need recommendations - Best electric standing desk under $400? And ergonomic chair to go with it?

Anyone work for Jabian? Thoughts on the company as a whole? Also what is the salary range for an experienced consultant?
Had my first interview this morning and the individual was wearing a mask. Kinda odd, but I guess this is the new norm.
Anyone have info about the coronavirus incubation period? Potential to infect others while not showing any symptoms? Also, is it possible to get tested if you are asymptomatic?
Good luck to those who are going into their first busy season! Yes, it’s daunting at first - we’ve all been there (albeit, not in a remote environment amidst a pandemic.) My best advice is to take one day at a time (marathon, not a sprint). Remember audit/tax/consulting is not life or death, and you WILL make it through. Have patience with yourself and your teams. Find a mentor! Don’t forget you can always find some moral support (read: self-deprecating humor) in your fellow fish!
